President’s Message

Greetings and Salutations!

Welcome to the official website of the North Tangipahoa Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma  Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I currently serve as the 3rd President of this esteemed chapter.  North Tangipahoa Area Alumnae chapter was chartered on February 24, 2019, and since our  inception we have been committed to bettering the community.

Through our service, we  implement programs within our Five Point Programmatic Thrust which includes:

• Educational Development

• Economic Development

• Physical and Mental Health

• International Awareness and Involvement

• Political Awareness and Involvement

Our service is fueled by moving Forward with Fortitude: Engaging our Sisterhood, Empowering  our Communities, and Elevating our Impact. There is no greater way to make positive changes,  but to commit to be change agents in every sense of the word. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,  Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization that was founded 110 years ago on  January 13, 1913, by our 22 founders. These college educated young women who studied at  Howard University, sought to create an organization that would enhance sisterhood,  scholarship, service and social action. As we continue to carry out their mission, we want to  immerse ourselves in the North Tangipahoa area with stewardship and partnerships.

We encourage you to visit our website often and participate in future events as posted. This is  our community and together we can create, build and restore a brighter future!

Thank you for visiting and if you have additional questions, please email us at

Violets and Pearls,
